Content Planning

We’re still in the season of planning out Thanksgiving, Christmas, Black Friday and Cyber Monday content. Keep working on those ideas and getting that new content all scheduled out! Advanced planning is a lifesaver.

What to Promote

Tis the season of all things Fall on Pinterest, so promoting anything related to Fall tends to do really well. If you’re feeling stuck, here are a few ideas: Fall fashion, travel, weddings, recipes, educational activities, décor – you name it, if it’s Fall related, it’s what people are looking for!

Pinterest Maintenance Tip

Perform a clean-up on your holiday pins. Make sure you have the right keywords in your pin descriptions, and that the URLs are going to the correct places.

Consider making new pins for any holiday pins that didn’t perform so well last year and promoting them in group boards and Tailwind Tribes. Split testing (promoting two different pins to the same blog post) is a powerful way to learn which image style resonates with Pinterest users.

By creating a new pin for posts that didn’t get any traction you’re testing to see if it was the image, the headline or the pin description that prevented your pin from gaining organic traction on Pinterest. Pinning the old image again and the new image you can compare recent activity to see what’s working best for your audience. This will help you when you create new pins for future content too!
